BAGHDAD ? Police say a pair of bombs has killed two people and wounded five in Shiite Muslim neighborhoods in Iraq's capital.
Iraqi police said the first blast around 8:30 a.m. Sunday was caused by a bomb that was hidden in a car in southwestern Baghdad. Two people were killed and a third was wounded.
Ninety minutes later, a second police official said a roadside bomb wounded four passers-by in eastern Baghdad.
Two medical officials confirmed the casualties. All spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.
Violence has dropped dramatically across Iraq from just a few years ago, but deadly attacks still happen nearly every day.
